About me
Trained as a pianist, I have always been drawn to the collaborative aspects of music making. In addition to the social aspect of working with other musicians,
I enjoy the process of interpretation, of bringing the separate parts and lines together into a musical whole to express color, texture and the emotional power
of a piece.

Growing up, I sang in a choir and regularly sought out opportunities in chamber music programs and youth orchestra. During undergraduate studies at Oberlin and at Eastman where I am pursuing a Masters in Orchestral Conducting, I continue to collaborate. playing with Oberlin’s Contemporary Music Ensemble, the Empire Film and Media Ensemble, accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists, premiering works by student composers, and serving as a rehearsal pianist and Assistant Conductor with Oberlin Opera Theater and Eastman Opera Theater productions .

Leading an ensemble is very much a collaborative endeavor, and I also served as Assistant Conductor for the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra Philharmonia and Associate Conductor for the Center City Chamber Orchestra in Philadelphia, PA.

I have long been interested in opera,
and have recently been exploring contemporary repertoire. I feel strongly about highlighting lesser known works and new voices. As a musician, I am committed to thinking about how to best convey the relevance of classical and contemporary music, to contribute to and engage our community, and to make music and opportunities to make music accessible for all.
